The Olney Hamilton Hospital is fully equipped with new, modern, and automated analyzers for laboratory testing.
The laboratory undergoes stringent inspection every other year by the Department of State Health Services and is CLIA certified.
Olney Hamilton Hospital’s the Radiology Department is available around the clock for in-patient, out-patient, and emergency diagnostic testing. Diagnostic tests include general X-ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Ultrasound.
The department also offers Computed Tomography (CT). The CT scanner is a state of the art 16 slice GE “BrightSpeed”. This allows for fast and on-site imaging for our patients. Each ARRT certified technologist is trained to provide optimal pictures at the lowest radiation dose possible for patient care.
Our physical therapy department is housed in our new outpatient rehab facility to serve a full scope of therapeutic needs. Services include individualized care to those who suffer from movement, balance and functional difficulties from aging, disease, injury, or environmental factors. Our dedicated, highly qualified physical therapy staff works closely with patients and their physician to develop a plan that helps restore physical function and overall fitness. Located in our outpatient building, Cardiac rehabilitation is an individualized outpatient program that begins with a comprehensive assessment. Based on the assessment and physician recommendations, a specially designed exercise plan is developed. The program also provides Phase II and III, risk factor counseling, periodic evaluations, and exercise plan modifications to keep you on track toward a healthy heart. For individuals ages 55 and older, the Heritage Program offers a Geriatric Program that is designed to meet the unique needs associated with aging. Our intensive outpatient day program assists senior adults who may be experiencing a wide range of mental health emotions or symptoms such as:
- Medication compliance
- Grief or loss
- Loss of appetite
The Heritage Program offers group and individual counseling. Our group counseling is tailored to fit both individual and group needs. The significance of group counseling is that participants gain an understanding that they are not alone, and that others have experienced similar types of problems. This realization alone is a validating discovery that raises self-esteem and helps the client feel more open to intervention and healing.
